Ukrainian-Polish Education Cooperation

Some days ago a meeting was held between the Director of the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Education Content, Oleksandr Udod, and the Head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Rafal Wolski.
The sides discussed the issues of the education for national minorities in Ukraine and improvement the network of the educational institutions, including the teaching of Polish. Among the prospects are: peer-review process of books at the Polish scientific institutions; working plan for teachers of Polish as a volunteers in Ukraine.
During the meeting the special attention was paid to the issues of the cooperation possibilities, involving scientists and methodologists of the branch of the IITEC in Drohobych.
In addition, both sides decided the question on the participation of the Polish historians in the scientific conference, which will be held on April 2012 at Volyn State University named after Lesia Ukrainka. It is expected that the conference will discuss the events of the 2nd World War, which took place on the territory of the Volynska region.
The next meeting with the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland is scheduled to be held on March 2012.
