Access to Public Information

The Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine provides public information as mandated by two items of legislation, - the Law of Ukraine entitled ‘Access to Public Information’ and the Decree of the President of Ukraine entitled ‘Guidelines on access to public information for executive authorities’.
The Ministry provides public information in response to requests for information.
As defined by the Law, public information is such that is held in document form by any means and in any media, that was obtained or created by any empowered Authority in the performance of its duties, as required by law, or that which is in the possession of those empowered Authorities.
A request for information from any person may submitted in any format, however it is essential to provide the following details:
1) the first name and surname of the applicant, postal address or email address and contact phone number;
2) a description of the information requested by the applicant, such as type, name, the requisites or the content of the document, for which the request is submitted;
3) Signature and date.
In order to simplify procedures for issuing written requests for information, a person may submit a request by completing the appropriate standard form for information requests:
Standard forms for the submission of requests for information in writing:
- From an individual (example);
- From a legal entity (example);
- From public associations (example);
- Form for submission of request for information in electronic form (example).
